About I'm In Niagara
I'm In Niagara is a community hub built for people who live in and love the Niagara Region. Our goal is simple: put the local things that matter — news, events, places, neighbours and good deals — in one friendly place.
What you'll find here
The site brings together several things Niagara residents use every day:
- Local news — headlines from across the region, refreshed through the day.
- Events — festivals, markets, live music and community happenings, on one calendar.
- Places to check out — restaurants, parks, attractions and local gems worth a visit.
- Community Chest — our free marketplace where neighbours buy, sell and give away items across St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland and beyond.
- Discussion forums & communities — a place to ask questions, share tips and connect with the people around you.
Why we built it
Big national platforms don't really know Niagara. We wanted something made for the region — a spot that celebrates local businesses, events and residents, and makes it easy to trade with people just down the road instead of shipping things across the country. Community Chest is free to use because we think a local marketplace should belong to the community that fills it.
Staying safe
When buying or selling through Community Chest, always meet in a public place, bring a friend if you can, and inspect items before paying. Trust your instincts — if something feels off, walk away.
